About Charles
Practice
Charles “Chuck” Des Roches enjoys helping clients in creating estate plans that express their goals for passing on wealth to their intended beneficiaries. Clients often have general ideas of how they would like to see their estates distributed, but want guidance on how to accomplish their goals.
Chuck also enjoys assisting high-net-worth clients with planning to avoid or at least minimize the tax impact on their estates at death. Whether a client’s assets are valued at $500k or $5 million, there are a lot of options to explore that will enable the client to pass on more of their estate to their intended beneficiaries.
Background
Chuck was an “Army brat” and lived in many different parts of the country and overseas growing up, never staying in one place for more than four years. That experience has given him an appreciation for different cultures, whether in the U.S. or abroad.
Chuck has lived in Monterey County since his dad’s last duty assignment at the former Fort Ord in 1975. He has served on many boards of local non-profit organizations, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Carmel Foundation. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Monterey County Bar Association and the Monterey County Bar Foundation.
