Practice

Tim Baldwin’s practice focuses on business, real estate, land use, and regulatory compliance, particularly as applied to the needs of agricultural clients. He has a practical knowledge and understanding of his clients’ needs, thanks to nearly a decade of experience working in agricultural business before entering law school. Tim’s business and real estate transactional practice includes forming business entities and advising clients in all types of business and real estate transactions. He is also experienced in supply agreements, marketing agreements, general agricultural law and proceedings under PACA and the California Food and Agricultural Code.

Tim maintains client relationships with agricultural growers and shippers, family farmers and ranchers, agricultural landowners, vineyard operators, pesticide dealers and applicators, and farm labor contractors. Tim has also represented agricultural clients in planning for generational succession and in family business dissolutions, partitions and restructurings. Tim holds the highest AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Background

Tim is passionate about the sport of rodeo and the western lifestyle. He has volunteered with California Rodeo Salinas for many years as a member of the Board of Directors and as an Officer, and serves on numerous state and national committees involving rodeo. In 2022 he was honored as the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association’s (PRCA) Committee Person of the Year.
